A ho hum 77.

Huh...How this happened is beyond me. After pounding 7&7 until 2 am (love you Chip) I was not good this morning. By 12:57 I was back in the hunt and on the box. A fine 3 wood was followed by a scoopy second and an opening bogey. Nearly clipped one OB on 2, but was saved by some sort of prickled shrub and salvaged a 5...uh, I'm not good. In addition, I'm cursing Nike for making such a miserable golf ball as this was my first experience with said rock. A downhill, downgrain Burger Bomb on 3 was followed by a double on 4. After a nice bird on 6 I had to chop one out of a cresote bush on the par 5 seventh, but nutted a 7 iron to 5 feet from 155..."4"...giggling insued. On 8 I nuked the very same 7 iron about 15 yards over the 168 yd flag after yelling "go, goooo, go" as the ball was airborn. "What was that?" There was but one par on the front and it was on 9. And yes, I screamed, "PARRRRRRRR". Turner probably heard me from the Tundra. Shot 39. What?

This rollercoaster just kept a chugging along as I went double, birdie, birdie on the back. All in all it adds up to 5 birdies, 6 paarrrrs, 4 bogeys, 3 doubles and about 11 beers. Oh, just a ho hum 77. Suffice it to say that I cashed in the side game with 3 net eagles. Why wouldn't a guy getting 5 birdie 3 stroke holes? Makes perfect sense to me.

I'll be chaining myself to the floor this evening fearing yet another appearance by Mr. Hyde. It is just as likely that I go postal as it is that I pull a Mother Teresa. Put the Skitzo to bed...a man's blood pressure really shouldn't have to withstand this ordeal.

Here's the card. No need for Holtburg to comment on the method of accounting. Sorry Dilbert, but I keep both the net and gross on the same card...gasp...

Say a prayer, if that is your thing, for Fury's Grandfather. The venerable gentleman is fighting off a nasty infection and hoping to see his 91st Birthday (also Father's Day) this year. I, for one, simply cannot wait to see him again.
Kid Unstable.
PS - I'm taking heads in Palm Springs in two weeks.

Daddy/Daughter Day at Sea World

With Monica and Nicky up in The Tundra (Portland), Simone and I decided to have ourselves a day. We began, as one should, at Sea World.
First we hit the penguins and the sharks. The Shark Encounter is straight up freaky. This prehistoric humpback shark was particularly terrifying.

We then went over to the Seal and Sea Lion show. It was hilarious, as usual. Those beasts will do just about anything for a fish.

Is there any fate in life worse than being a pre-Seal and Sea Lion show mime? I think not.

The usual antics...

WHAT IS GOING ON HERE? Apparently the trainers are using new methods. Hide the smelt?

We next went over to the Dolphin show. It was awesome, but there was too much glare to get really good pics.

Next up was lunch, the feeding of the Seals/Seagulls, and the petting of...gulp...bat rays. Yuk. I'm soooo out.

After purchasing this attractive hat (please ensure Nicky he has one), we went over to the Shamu show. It was KILLER (pun clearly intended).

After all that, we went up to Point Loma so Simone could check another item off of her list of "The things to see before you turn 12". A light house. It was cold and windy up there so we didn't stay too long.

All in all a great Daddy/Daughter adventure.

Six Princesses...and Nicky

This, my friends, is a Princess Party. All the ladies dressed in their favorite Princess garb. Nicky...well, he wasn't having any of that. However, being an enterprising lad, and no dummy, he was in for everything.

I think Simone was just a little excited.

This is Ansley. Nicky (again the boy is no dummy) and Ansley get along quite well.

No comment necessary.

Happy Birthday beautiful.

AZ Sunset

Simone and I drove by Pinnacle Peak this evening on our way to the store. We got there a little late for the light, but I managed to grab a couple of good shots.

Well, here it is. I am 35, have a 7 year old (almost - Wednesday for those of you keeping score) and she's lost her two front teeth. WOW. I'm amazed.

That thing she calls a tooth has been hanging on a thread for about two days. Tonight Monica and I went Christmas shopping and when we returned we found the following.

"Excited" is an understatement. Thrilled, probably is more accurate. The babysitter put her tooth in a bag and wrote the date on it (a bonus was paid). That's awaiting pickup from the Tooth Fairy.
That's all I have to say about that...
